A Custom Boating Safety Buoy for MADD

Mothers Against Drunk Driving, better known as MADD, needed a custom-branded buoy for a boating safety initiative created in partnership with law enforcement. The buoy would help educate boaters and promote sober boating for years to come.

Although the project involved only one buoy, it was important to MADD and the community it would serve. Premier Materials approached it with the same care and attention given to a much larger marine project.

The Challenge

The project presented several challenges from the beginning. After a disappointing experience with a previous supplier, the MADD representative was looking for a dependable partner who could make the process easier and help move the project forward. The buoy also required custom graphics that the manufacturer could not easily produce, making clear communication and creative problem-solving essential.

Finding The Right Solution

Over several months, Premier Materials worked directly with the representative from MADD to explore product sizes, freight options, labeling methods, and alternative graphic solutions.

Premier Materials stayed in contact when the project stalled, proactively provided updates, and coordinated with multiple suppliers. When the manufacturer could not create the design MADD needed, they contacted a trusted local printing partner to help produce the custom graphics.

Premier Materials also guided MADD through artwork approval, proofs, ordering, invoicing, shipping and installation. Every step was clearly explained, so the customer knew what to expect throughout the process.

The Result

Premier Materials successfully delivered a custom boating safety buoy that met MADD’s design needs and supported its public safety mission.
